To report concerns regarding patient safety or quality of care, please contact Care First management at ghayden@carefirst-hme.com.
Within five (5) calendar days of the alleged grievance, the customer will be notified by telephone, e-mail, fax, or letter that the complaint has been received and is being investigated. Management then has 14 calendar days to investigate the concern, make every effort to resolve the concern, and notify the customer in writing of the results of the investigation and Care First’s response to the concern.
If the grievance cannot be resolved to the customer’s satisfaction, the customer or his/her representative is to notify Care First management, in writing. The director or designee will further investigate the grievance and contact the customer or their representative in an attempt to resolve the differences.
If the issue is still not resolved to the customer’s or their representative’s satisfaction, the Joint Commission may be contacted without retaliatory action from Care First.
Please note, the Joint Commission only investigates concerns regarding patient safety or quality of care; matters concerning billing, insurance, payment disputes, or individual personnel are not within the Joint Commission’s scope.
